Kiln Dried and Planed - could use some finish sanding- some larger stress cracks/voids - lots of rustic figure and edges - some planer striations could use finish sanded - cool live edges - some cool mineral figure is present - a few rougher side edges - stress cracks/voids are aesthetic only - do not affect structural integrity - cool spalting present - wall side edge has section of live edge - this piece has wormy areas that may have some powder present - we recommend a hardening shellac varnish or possible Liquid Glass finish on this piece. There are a lot of stress cracks, a few softer/pithy edges and some very primitive rustic appeal

At ohiowoodlands, we air dry our material 3-4 years before kiln drying. We generally kiln dry 1 month per inch of thickness. Our material is very stable. In over 19 years we’ve never had a return due to moisture or movement.

We average 3-6 years from when a log is milled to the time it has been properly air/kiln dried and available for sale.
