At Ohio Woodlands, we never rush the drying process. The majority of our material is air dried for a minimum of 2-3 years before the dry kiln process is initiated. We then carefully stack our slabs/mantles and kiln dry for another 3-4 months. We generally kiln dry at least one month per inch of thickness. In over 17 years of kiln drying and selling material, we are confident in our slow and methodical approach to the kiln drying process.
